Derbyshire Dales District Council to discuss traveller sites
The District Council is to hold an extraordinary meeting at 6.30pm on Wednesday 2nd September which "on the work that has been undertaken to identify potentially suitable permanent sites in accordance with its duties and responsibilities to Gypsies and Travellers under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017."

National Park Authority confirms barbecues are not permitted anywhere in the open countryside of the Peak District National Park

Bakewell’s public toilets to remain closed
Derbyshire Dales District Council advise that the public toilets in Bakewell in common with the others it operates across the Dales will remain closed on safety grounds.
In a news release on Thursday 21st May 2020 the District Council said:
